Things to See and Do
Downtown Boise offers many things to see and do. These are within a mile or so from the hotel. Bring some comfy shoes.
- Ann Morrison Park, Kathryn Albertson Park (a nature preserve), Julia Davis Park (home to the zoo and many museums)
- museums
- The historic Boise Depot and Platt Gardens
- a zoo
- an art film house
- a first-run theater
- The Egyptian Theatre, an historic local landmark
- many shops
- lots of restaurants
- and the Saturday public market
Boise is not a “dry” city, figuratively speaking; libations are available at many local restaurants (including Papa Joe’s, steps away from the conference hotel) and the state-run liquor stores (there are 3 stores within a 2-mile radius from the hotel).
However, Boise is literally a dry city. The humidity is surprisingly low. Hydrate often.
